The Home Team

We were delighted when Owen came to our home, he came highly recommended from a college at work. We had accumulated quite a substantial list over the past few years, with three young boys in the house! Everything from fixing broken kitchen doors and hinges to re-felting the garden shed roof.

There was nothing that Owen couldn’t manage. As we had email some helpful photos beforehand, Owen was able to arrive with all the materials required that morning, from new door handles, plasterboard and fillers to patch up some holes, silicone to replace shower, bath and worktop seal.

Even when I added an extra item on the day, it wasn’t a problem and Owen happened to have the stain block paint and touch up white to remedy an old damp stain on the ceiling. My husband had started to assemble a flat pack cabinet and had halted on step five of the instructions in tears !! I was sure the cabinet was beyond repair, but no, fair play, Owen took a look and completed it perfectly.

Would highly recommend. In fact Owen is booked in next week to paint two bedrooms for us.

Engaged The Home Team Christmas three years ago, as one of my tenants rang in a panic regarding suspected rodents in kitchen and attic. It did turn out to be nothing but the fact that Owen was willing and able to do an immediate call-out and survey the property at extremely short notice, during the holidays, was above and beyond the normal call of duty. My tenant, after his visit and inspection was put at ease, even before we agreed to make some proprietary measures.

I now use The Home Team exclusively for all my properties and indeed when I required a new TV to be mounted in my own home, Owen obliged.

Once I give Owen the go ahead, he contacts my tenants directly, agrees a time with them, completes the work and invoices afterward. No hassle.

The Home Team Handyman Service is a no brainer!

We have 70 staff working from a 50 year old building on the quays. We operate from three of the four floors plus various extensions, adjuncts etc ourselves and sub-let the top floor. We did have a permanent maintenance man on-site some years ago, before his retirement but now we book The Home Team Handyman Service when either a list of items is compiled between us or something immediate crops up.

Items from painting over corporate colours in offices after vacation to new lock installation, repair carpentry to canopies and pelmets, removing vandalised door bell and reinstalling in a vandal proof steel box. Damp issues in basement wall to glueing carpet tiles and nosings.

Even re-tiling ‘popped’ floor tiles and grouting.

In the trades Owen doesn’t cover himself, he has been extremely helpful in recommending and leasing with other contractors.

Owen had provided great piece of mind and a wealth of experience.
